Fitness and Wellness Programs

GENERAL LAND FITNESS   AQUATIC FITNESS
Our land fitness program starts with an orientation with a licensed physical therapist to help develop a program best suited to help you achieve your fitness goals.  Our state-of-the-art centers are less intimidating than regular 'muscle gyms', and also more affordable, without long-term commitments or contracts.  Our general land fitness memberships are offered at all of the facilities listed on the website.  Please ask a receptionist for more information, including current specials.   Our supervised aquatic fitness programs are available at our Capital Region Health Park, Bone & Joint Center, Everett Road, and Stamford locations.  Our therapeutically heated indoor pools offer a unique option in your quest for fitness.  All pools are equipped with an underwater treadmill, are heated to 92° F, and are staffed by licensed physical therapists to help you set your fitness goals.  Aqua toning classes are also available at our Capital Region Health Park location.

BABY BOOMER-CISE   CIRCUIT TRAINING
This wellness program is specifically designed for women of the baby boom generation.  This program on improving cardiovascular endurance to promote heart health and weight management, as well as strength training to build lean body mass and improve metabolism and bone strength.  An emphasis is also placed on flexibility and postural exercises to prevent/manage osteoporosis and osteopenia.   This program is designed for women of all ages.  Circuit training is an excellent way to exercise the entire body in one workout season.  Our circuit is especially designed for women to target problem areas, build lean body mass, improve metabolism and bone health.

PILATES MAT CLASSES   PILATES REFORMER CLASSES
Pilates emphasizes flowing movements requiring the use of "Powerhouse" or "Core" of the body, which consists of the deep abdominals, buttocks, and back muscles that support and stabilize the spine.  Pilates focuses on balancing the muscles around your joints and improving your body through focused breathing and alignment of the core muscles.   The reformer is a Pilates apparatus that uses resistance cables and a gliding carriage to provide a variety of exercises which can be performed in multiple positions.  The reformer allows for non-impact exercise, facilitates hundreds of exercise variations, and allows for modifications for clients with specific needs.  A reformer workout will add resistance to your routine, and can correct muscular imbalances more effectively than a basic mat routine.

POST-NATAL FITNESS   REIKI PROGRAM
