|
PILATES
REFORMER CLASSES |
|
Pilates emphasizes flowing movements
requiring the use of "Powerhouse" or "Core"
of the body, which consists of the deep
abdominals, buttocks, and back muscles that
support and stabilize the spine.
Pilates focuses on balancing the muscles
around your joints and improving your body
through focused breathing and alignment of
the core muscles. |
|
The
reformer is a Pilates apparatus that uses
resistance cables and a gliding carriage to
provide a variety of exercises which can be
performed in multiple positions. The
reformer allows for non-impact exercise,
facilitates hundreds of exercise variations,
and allows for modifications for clients
with specific needs. A reformer
workout will add resistance to your routine,
and can correct muscular imbalances more
effectively than a basic mat routine. |
