Start your career somewhere you can grow.

New PT or OT grad? You know more than you think—and you still have a lot to learn. That’s exactly where you’re supposed to be.

At Nicolla and Associates, PT & OT Services, we believe your first job should be more than a place to start collecting a paycheck. It should be a place where you can ask questions, build confidence, develop your clinical skills, and figure out what kind of therapist you want to become.

Mentorship that matters.

We’re passionate about helping new graduates bridge the gap between school and clinical practice. You’ll be surrounded by experienced PTs, OTs, APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructors, and clinicians with advanced specialty training.

Mentorship is built into the week through our Weekly Huddle—protected time for each clinic to eat lunch together, discuss complex cases, share clinical updates, and provide in-services.

Your caseload will grow as your confidence grows. You won’t be expected to carry a full caseload until you’re ready, and you’ll never have a productivity goal.

Benefits That Make a Difference.

Your benefits should make a real difference in your life—not just look good on a job posting. Start with three weeks of paid vacation, so you can actually take time off without worrying about your paycheck. You’ll receive a competitive salary with cost-of-living increases, plus health and dental insurance to help keep your everyday healthcare costs manageable. We’ll also help you plan for the future with a 401(k) and employer matching—meaning we contribute toward your retirement along with you. We invest in your career through continuing education opportunities, helping you grow your skills without having to shoulder every cost yourself. And sometimes a workday should just be fun: events like our Nicolla Field & Fun Day are paid workdays where the clinics close and our staff gets to spend the day eating, competing, laughing, and connecting as a team.

40 Years of Experience. Always Looking Forward.

Nicolla and Associates has been part of the Capital Region rehabilitation community for more than 40 years, but longevity doesn’t mean standing still. We continue to invest in new technology, research, and treatment approaches—from incorporating techniques like blood flow restriction (BFR) training to being an early adopter of Medicare’s Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) program. You’ll learn from decades of clinical experience while working in a practice that’s always looking at what’s next.

I’d frame this as freedom to explore and build your career, which is especially appealing to new grads:

At Nicolla, you don’t have to have your entire career figured out on day one. With patients ranging from pediatrics through older adults, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different populations and discover what you genuinely enjoy treating. And if you find a niche you’re passionate about, we’ll help you build it. Some of our most successful programs started with a therapist saying, “I’m really interested in this.” That’s how we’ve developed programs like vestibular rehabilitation, community outreach and workshops with local high school athletic teams, and even our entire pediatric practice, which began with the vision of one staff therapist. You can develop a specialty, build a caseload around the patients you love treating, and create something of your own—without having to open your own practice to do it.

I especially like that last line for a job fair because it gives new grads a picture of what their career could eventually look like with you.
